Berlin is officially coming back, just in a different form.

After closing in late 2023, the iconic Lakeview nightclub space is reopening as The Belmont and Decibel. Same location, new concept.

For decades, Berlin was one of Chicago's most unique late-night spots, known as an LGBTQ+ club that brought together all kinds of people on one dance floor. It wasn't just a bar, it was a place where people felt free to be themselves and where different crowds actually mixed.

Now the team behind the new concept says they want to bring that same energy back.

The Belmont will run as a cocktail bar early, then transition into Decibel after 10PM on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Doors open April 25.

That room has real history, we'll see if they can bring that same vibe back.
