Chicago Fire officially announced the name of their new stadium: McDonald’s Park. 🍟⚽️
The new 22,000-seat venue, set to open in 2028 at The 78, marks McDonald’s first-ever naming rights partnership for a professional sports stadium in the United States.
The partnership goes beyond the stadium itself. Through the Chicago Fire Foundation’s P.L.A.Y.S. program, McDonald’s will help expand free youth soccer programming across Chicago Public Schools from 70 schools to nearly 140 by the time the stadium opens, reaching more than 60,000 students across the city.
Plans also include food distribution events, community initiatives, and special experiences for families through Ronald McDonald House Charities.
The $750 million stadium project is being privately financed by Fire owner Joe Mansueto and is expected to become one of the biggest developments tied to Chicago soccer in decades.
Still… out of all the sponsors they could’ve gotten, “McDonald’s Park” might take some getting used to 😅
bop bop bop bop bop… i’m lovin’ it? 👀
